Developed by PPI, the Morphology Flow Cell allows resin suppliers, compounders and others to continuously monitor immiscible polymer blends, the degree of dispersion of solid particulates and the presence of impurities in process melt streams in real time

The optical system consists of a Differential Interference Contrast microscope and a Xenon light source.  The microscope settings can be adjusted easily for the best image quality.  The smallest analyzable domains are in the range of 1 to 2 microns.  In addition to the extent of dispersion, this unit can also provide information about the spatial distribution and homogeneity of the mixture.  Brochure: (~1.4MB) For further information please contact:  Dr. Steve Kim  (973) 596-6090  Skim@polymers-ppi.org
